14/01/11 Berlin Belly

Hi Everyone! Hope all is well back home.
Today was another slow day. We're all a little sick at the moment so running around in the cold and the rain isn't an attractive activity right now...
We did a hop on hop off tour of the city today. Another bus one. We got some photos of the Brandenburg Gate and some of the amazing buildings here. The buildings are massive here. Especially after leaving Amsterdam where buildings are normally kept under 5 stories for fear of sinking. The ones in Berlin are covered in statues and plated in gold. They have bullet holes left in them from the war and look like they have seen a lot of interesting history.
We saw the stretch of the Berlin Wall still standing and went to an exhibit on Hitler at the National Museum.
My trick for the day was narcolepsy and i'm sure Daniel will be thrilled to show some photos that i'm sure he's taken of me falling asleep at random intervals throughout the day.
We have all finally got some degree of cold or flu or stomach bug. As much as I would like to sleep through tomorrow, this is a holiday and I can sleep when i'm dead right?
So instead I think Laurie and Zelda might check out the TV tower and the museum, while Daniel and I try to get on to do a segway tour to mix things up a bit.
Tomorrow is our last full day in Berlin then we are off to Krakow in Poland for a very sobering experience.
